Regulations governing the scattering of ashes at sea<\/h3>\n[\/nectar_responsive_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”15px”][nectar_responsive_text font_size_min=”14px” font_size_max=”20px” font_size_desktop=”1.1vw” font_line_height=”1.5″]Disposal of cinerary ashes at sea is authorized if it complies with maritime regulations and is carried out more than 300 meters from the coast (decree 2007-328 and law 2008-1350-16 on funeral legislation). It is, however, forbidden in a river or on the beach.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is also possible to immerse the urn containing the ashes. In this case, the urn must be immersed more than 3 miles from the coast, and you must choose a biodegradable funeral urn (made of salt, cardboard, etc.).<\/span><\/p>\n

It lasts an hour, with around 40 to 45 minutes spent at sea.<\/span><\/p>\n

We ask you to provide us with a copy of the cremation certificate, a copy of the death certificate and a copy of the identity document of the person legally responsible for the scattering. <\/span><\/p>\n
